Your Best Tan Starts
Before Your Appointment

Achieving a flawless, long-lasting glow is a team effort. Follow our professional prep and aftercare guide to ensure your sun-kissed finish stays perfect for days.

24–48 Hours Before Your Tan

EXFOLIATE

Use a loofah or exfoliating mitt with a gentle, oil-free scrub. Pay special attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles.

SHAVE
OR
WAX

Do this at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow pores to close and skin to settle.

PLAN FIRST

Manicures, pedicures, waxes, and hair appointments should all be done at least 24 hours BEFORE your spray tan session.

Come With Clean, Dry Skin

Clean skin is a clean canvas for your perfect glow.

Please Avoid:

  • No lotion or oils
  • No deodorant or perfume
  • No makeup or face products
  • Shower at least 4 hours before if possible

Loose, Dark & Comfortable

T-Shirt Dresses

The gold standard for post-tan comfort.

Loose Pajamas

Ideal for evening appointments.

Wide-Leg Pants

Avoid anything that grips the waist or ankles.

Slides or Flip Flops

Keep those feet free from tight straps.

Pro Tip: Stick to dark clothing to avoid bronzer transfer (though our solution washes out of most fabrics!)

Let That Tan Develop ✨

For the next few hours, your tan needs a little alone time.

Until your first rinse

  • No sweating or working out
  • Avoid wearing glasses or using contact lense solution
  • Don't apply lotion or perfume
  • Avoid skin-to-skin contact
  • Avoid washing dishes or hand washing
  • Keep pets from licking your skin
  • Wear loose shoes (no socks or sneakers)

Remember: Rain counts as water! If it's drizzling, stay covered up until you're home.

The
First Rinse

Your technician will tell you when to rinse (usually 2–8 hours). Follow these steps to set your glow:

  • Luke-warm water only.
  • No soap or body wash.
  • Gently pat dry with a towel (no rubbing!).
  • Use moisturizer after 24 hours.

Don't panic! You will see brown bronzer washing down the drain – this is completely normal and is just the cosmetic guide color.

Keep
Your Glow Going

Hydration is your new best friend. To extend the life of your tan, being gentle is key.

  • Use oil-free, alcohol-free moisturizer daily.
  • Avoid long, hot baths and chlorine.
  • Pat dry after showers.
  • Gently exfoliate when the tan begins to fade to ensure a smooth transition.
A Spray Tan Is Not Sun Protection

Spray tans do not contain SPF. Always wear sunscreen when outdoors to protect your skin from real sun damage.

The Golden Rule

Exfoliate before.
Hydrate after.

Following steps gives a smooth, clean canvas and healthy, glowing skin. Taking care of your skin is the best way to get long-lasting results.
